Image
Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos has attacked his teammate, Casemiro over comment made on Los Blancos’ players following his side’s El Clasico 5-1 defeat by Barcelona in the La Liga fixture played on Sunday evening. Recall that  Casemiro had blamed Los Blancos’  players for their humiliating defeat in the hands of Barca at the Camp Nou. Goals from Luiz Suarez (3), Philippe Coutinho (1) and Arturo Vidal (1) ensured victory for the Catalan club at the Camp Nou. Marcelo’s lone strike was not enough to get a point for the visitors. Ramos, however, said Casemiro’s comment was inopportune, adding that the Los Blancos’ players must remain calm. “It’s inopportune to say that,” he said when asked about Casemiro’s comments by Marca. “We must remain calm. It’s not the time to point the finger at anyone. We have to be self-critical and sometimes it’s the players’ fault.” The result leaves Madrid ninth in La Liga while their run of three-straight defeats is their wors...

Air pollution kills 600,000 children annually – WHO Exposure to toxic air both indoors and out kills some 600,000 children under the age of 15 each year, the World Health Organisation (WHO) warned Monday. This has tragic consequences: In 2016 alone, some 600,000 children died from acute lower respiratory infections caused by polluted air, the WHO report found. “Polluted air is poisoning millions of children and ruining their lives,” WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a statement. “This is inexcusable. PROSTATE CANCER: What every man should know

Image
PROSTATE CANCER: What every man should know Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and the second most common tumor diagnosed worldwide. The prostate is a walnut sized gland that is part of the male reproductive system. It is located beneath the urinary bladder and in front of the rectum. The prostate makes some of the fluid that nourishes and protects sperm cells in the semen. Just behind the prostate are the seminal vesicles, which make most of the fluid for the semen. Prostate cancer is to men what breast cancer or cervical cancer is to women. It has the potential to grow and spread quickly, but for most men, it is a relatively slow growing disease. About 20,000 men die of prostate cancer every year in Nigeria. One new case occurs every 3.3 minutes and a man dies from prostate cancer every 20 minutes. On daily basis, at least 14 men die in the country and 1 in 5 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. A black man is 70 percent more...
